It’s all about the light
I would consider myself mainly a landscape photographer. I especially like wide landscapes.
Although I enjoy landscape photography, I also have a fascination for macro. Macro is another world with a whole series of different rules imposed by the very limited depth of field. My favourite subjects in this format are dragonflies and damselflies, but I will quite happily take shots of all and sundry – and often do!
It doesn’t matter what the format is or the the subject matter, in the end it is all about the light. If you have good light on your subject, you have the makings of a good shot. If you don’t have the light, it’s probably best to pack up and go home.
I’ve presented some of my favourite pictures for your perusal in the galleries. I also post pictures in Flickr.
